  Delicious sweets, however I will not be back to spend my money here due to the cashier named Sam. Sam did not ask me if I needed help when I was standing right in front of him. He also asked other customers if they needed help, that were obviously behind me. The other customers even agreed that I was there before they arrived into the store. He did not apologize. When Sam finally agreed to help me, he was short and rude to me, like he didn't have the time or care to do his job. Sam explained in a rude voice that I had to wait in line when I asked him for help. Hopefully if you go here, you won't have to deal with Sam. To top it off, I was picking up my birthday cake, on my very own birthday.

  These new people are the worst. I ordered something for my friend's birthday last week and I gave the delivery guy a tip over 20% to deliver it today. I called today and the lady saw the ticket and she suggested that my friend pick it up herself. Worst service ever! Never rely on these guys to deliver!

  As the new owner of J's Bakery, I wanted to let you all know that over the past several years J's was not what it used to be when we were growing up. The poor reviews and less than excellent comments were in large part deserved. Like any business or endeavor, if you lose your passion along the way everything suffers. Well, we are new and we are passionate.
  
  I grew up around the corner on Jordan St. Some of my earliest memories of my first steps to independence was being able to leave the house alone when my grandmother would give me a dollar or a handful of change to walk up to the bakery and get a treat. Over the last couple of weeks of newly reopening, I have heard that story and others echoed over and over from a broad range of patrons. It didn't fully soak in what kind of responsibility we took on when we made our purchase; but now I understand and it makes me smile every time a new face walks back in the door after having been away. They grab a petite four or a chocolate bar or thumbprint cookie and the look on their face when they take a bite is priceless.
  
  We have been bombarded daily by a whole new generation of children and young people who are pressing their faces against the same glass we did as children; trying to decide what treat to get. Sometimes I think the only difference between the kids and the adults is we got taller... and it would probably be weird if we pressed our faces against the cases... I would probably ask you to back away slowly. We very much look forward to seeing you in the bakery very soon and continuing the tradition of baking your wedding cakes, birthday cakes, petite fours, smiley face cookies, thumbprint cookies, cinnamon bread... and the list goes on and on and on.
  
  Please come in and give J's a try.
